James E. (Jim) Hickle


 

 

James E. (Jim) Hickle, 60, passed away unexpectedly in his home on July 14, 2022.

Jim was born on October 11, 1961 to Janice and Howard Hickle of Fowler.

Jim graduated from Benton Central High School where he enjoyed golf and spending time with his many friends. In college he was a part Alpha Beta Gamma, that honors successful students studying business. After graduating from Vincennes University with an Associate Degree in Distributive Marketing, he worked for Graham Electronics as a Purchasing Agent and Quote Coordinator. Most recently, Jim drove for Uber, allowing him the freedom to enjoy his family and volunteer activities.

Jim enjoyed golf and playing poker with his buddies. He was an avid Purdue sports fan, attending many games throughout his life. He enjoyed volunteering as a Little League baseball coach, running cars for the Boy Scouts Pine Wood Derby, and served in many volunteer roles for the Brownsburg High School Band, the most enjoyable being one of the prop masters.

Survivors include his son Jacob, his mother and father, Janice and Howard, his brother, Kevin (Samantha), his sister, Tammy Hickle Trotter, his nieces Jamie Hickle and Jennifer Hickle, and his great nephew Garrison. Jim was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Rick Trotter.

Jim’s Celebration of Life will be held at the Benton County Country Club on Sunday, Aug. 21 from 2-5 p.m.
